Co-60 when ingested and excreted in feces, there is a small amount absorbed by the liver, kidneys and bones this can cause cancer from internal exposure to gamma radiation
Petco in 2013 had recalled stainless steel pet bowls, due to cobalt radiation contamination. It is recommended that we purchase 18-gauge stainless steel third-party checked bowls to help prevent toxins from getting into our pets organs.
